First Nations Individual Education Plan (IEP) Registry
The First Nations IEP Registry is an Internet-based database for creating and maintaining IEPs (Individual Education Plans) for First Nations students. Special Education teachers can now complete the IEP documents for their students online and share those documents with others who have the proper permission. Authorized people can only view, on a read-only basis, the IEP from any Internet-based computer. The Registry is customized for First Nations in that it contains special fields for Band Number, Indian Name, Band of Membership and Band of Financial Responsibility. It allows First Nations to add culturally relevant items to the various dropdown lists to insure that the IEPs reflect the needs and procedures desired for First Nations students.
